If you’re following along on this journey, a few things about malibu:

• There are oranges, lemons the size of your head, and kumquats growing everywhere. On the side of the road, in your hotel courtyard, in pots outside of shops. Bring a handful home with you and make salted kumquats for the winter season.

• Celebrate flowers by the ocean and as much fabric as you want and shoulder kisses too
