Why I do it

long story short: it’s about the look.

There’s a lot of reasons why people shoot weddings. But mine is because of the look.

Every wedding I’ve ever shot, there’s at least one photo where he looks at her like she’s the best thing that has ever happened to him. Like she hung the moon and he can barely believe his luck that this person, the best person, is for him.

It’s pretty magic.

It’s pretty magic.

Every time.

Every time.

Self proclaimed unromantic guys, it’ll come for you too.

Sometimes it’s laser focused because, man, that dress. Or it’s familiar and affectionate. Full of laughter, or disbelief- overflowing with gratitude. I live for that moment. To me it’s the truest reflection of the personal connection between two people and that’s what we’re all in this for.

This, more than the first kiss, or the first dance, is the photo of the day. It’s why I do this. I can’t tell you when it happens, and it won’t be on any timeline. But if you do the damn thing, I will get that shot for you.
